Live Sketching at events in the GTA
Fee: my rate is $250 / hour + HST. Once details are confirmed, a 25% deposit is due. If my services are cancelled prior to the event, the deposit acts as a cancellation fee. An additional travel fee applies for events outside the GTA.
live sketching at various events in Toronto for clients like Bell, LOULOU magazine, TIFF, Juice Beauty and Canadian Screen Awards
1. Event details: Please let me know logistics like location, date, time slot, expected guest traffic, and dress code.
2. Supplies: I sketch in colourful brush pens on letter size card stock paper and store the sketches in clear envelopes, which are both provided by me. I can also sketch on logo'd paper or merch like makeup bags which will be provided by client.

3. If needed, test or sample art can be completed for a small fee prior to the event.

4. Set-up:
Roaming sketch: 10 -12 sketches / hour. I walk around the venue capturing guests in their element in half - full body sketches and give them directly to guests when completed. Alternatively, there could be a designated pick-up spot so guests don't want to carry the sketches during the event.

Seated portrait: 8 - 10 sketches / hour. I sketch guests seated across from me from head to chest or waist. Please arrange two chairs facing each other and a table in a well-lit, bright area. It's recommended that client inform guests about me to generate traffic, for as long as they knew traffic has been steady to non-stop.

Please note:
- I will arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to the event to get ready. Additional charges apply if I need to show up earlier than this.
- Please have payment ready before my session starts.
- Around every 2 hours I will need a short break to stretch my hands.
Freelance Work
1. Project details: Please let me know the specifics such as type of work, intended usage, timeline for roughs and finals, style, colour, (reference images are welcome) and budget.
2. Quote: With all the information in mind, I will submit a quote. When the quote is approved, we will start the project with roughs.

3. Roughs: I will research, brainstorm, create and submit roughs as a first look to the project. Colour palette and visual details are agreed upon at this stage. You may provide feedback and direction. If multiple roughs are presented, one concept will be chosen to proceed to final.

4. WIP (Work in Progress): After working according to the chosen rough, I submit a WIP for review. If needed, I can accommodate two rounds of major revisions. Further revisions will be billed separately.

5. Final: Once the WIP is approved, I will submit a preview of the final. Revisions at this point will be billed separately. If the final is approved, I will submit the digital files.

Please note:
- A deposit (normally 50%) is needed to start the project after confirmation of estimate. The remaining balance is due after delivery of digital files. A late fee will be charged if paid after 30 days.

- If the project is canceled after completion of roughs, the deposit acts as a cancellation fee. If the project is canceled after completion of finals, the full fee will be billed.

- Deliverable format is PDF or hi-res jpg. Native art files (.ai or .psd) will have an additional charge.

- Copyright remains that of Wendy Ding unless otherwise formally transferred.
